The company is also building a system of proprietary machine learning algorithms and technology systems to generate in-house pricing for our uniquely reimagined betting products, with a heavy focus on live in-game betting.
SimpleBet is well capitalized, and is led by a veteran team of successful entrepreneurs, executives, engineers, and data scientists with valuable experiences and relationships across sports (daily fantasy and otherwise), media, product development, and technology.
About the Role:
We are looking to hire a Data Engineer to join the SimpleBet team. You will be the bridge between algorithm development and software development. Your responsibilities include writing hardware-conscious
software to consolidate and store data, understanding efficiency requirements, and helping productize and develop our pricing algorithms and technical systems. To do well in this role, you need first-rate problem solving skills,
experience with data systems and data structures, and a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals.
Responsibilities:

Write hardware-conscious, parallelized code to help productize predictive models

Code efficient data stores and structures to store information at all levels of the memory hierarchy

Collate data from a multitude of sources into efficient systems

Write data hydration code that can operate in a low latency live production environment

Come up with the best data structures for any given problem, minimize data I/O costs, and account

for the needs of predictive pricing algorithms
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in computer science

Strong understanding of database systems and data structures and algorithms
-
Strong understanding of HTML, Javascript, and programming languages
-
Knowledge of math/statistics is a must.

Experience engineering large data sets from disparate sources for efficient processing

Experience in productizing algorithms, and improving their efficiency/runtime
-
Experience with Python and MySQL is a must
-
Understanding of R and MongoDB is a plus
Salary: 110k - 160k + Equity
