The company is also building a system of proprietary machine learning algorithms and technology systems to generate in-house pricing for our uniquely reimagined betting products, with a heavy focus on live in-game betting.
SimpleBet is well capitalized, and is led by a veteran team of successful entrepreneurs, executives, engineers, and data scientists with valuable experiences and relationships across sports (daily fantasy and otherwise), media, product development, and technology.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced analyst to help build our cutting-edge suite of machine learning-based sports betting products and predictive engines. You will be an integral part of the Sports Betting Analytics team. Working alongside our Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role by maximizing the value of our data and helping SimpleBet reach the growth targets set up for the coming years.
To excel in this role, you need first-rate problem solving skills, an interest in the sports and betting markets, as well as experience with statistics, machine learning, data structures and algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
Responsibilities:

Provide key stakeholders with valuable, actionable insights pertaining to the optimization of sportsbook management

Contribute to the development of algorithms that will be used to predict the outcome of sporting events

Research trends in the sports and gaming industry to stay on top of new developments

Apply statistical methods to analyze, interpret, and operationalize data with respect to risk management, finance, customer integration, evaluating problem gamblers, and GDPR.

Promote and operationalize data-led decision making across SimpleBet

Identify opportunities where data can make a positive impact

Build and maintain partnerships with key industry stakeholders (e.g. professional sports leagues, data providers, operators, etc.)
Skills:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM field from a top accredited university

Significant experience in highly quantitative/analytical role utilizing large data sets

Expertise and passion for sports and the related betting markets

Experience in sports analytics is strongly preferred

Understanding of programming and computer science fundamentals

Strong knowledge of statistics and probability

Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms

Understanding of Python, SQL, R, or related data processing languages

Strong command of Microsoft Excel/VBA or other data processing software
Expected Salary: 80k to 130k + Equity
